Nathan Thompson Begins Career During the Pandemic

After completing the Rail Car Mechanic Training Program at the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center in January 2021, Nathan started his career as Carman with Bucyrus in Canton, Ohio, in January 2021. He initially completed the welding trade at the Sierra Nevada Job Corps, where he received a lot of life-changing advice from the instructor, stating, "I got the education I expected and then some." Nathan imparts that advice to other students, "Remember what you came here to do, and everything will be just fine...you're doing this for yourself."
