DESIREE WRIGHT In 2009 Desiree entered and trained in the security program at the Grafton Job Corps Center in North Grafton, Massachusetts. Upon completing that program in 2010, she relocated to the Shriver Job Corps Center in Devens, Massachusetts to pursue the TCU/IAM Advanced Training Program. Following her completion of the program in 2011, Desiree was hired by Amtrak as a Lead Service Attendant in New York City. At present, she is a Lead Service Attendant working out of the crew base in Boston, Massachusetts. Desiree felt becoming employed was the result of “completing mock interviews and the encouragement of former graduate students of the program.”
MIKHAIL MONTAQUE enlisted in the Edison Job Corps Center in Edison, New Jersey in 2009; the trade he chose was Business Technology. Once completing his trade at Edison and hearing about the TCU/IAM Advanced Program, Mikhail relocated in 2010 to the Shriver Job Corps Center in Devens, Massachusetts. As a completer in 2012, he was hired by Amtrak as a Ticket Agent at the Back-Bay Station in Boston Massachusetts. He is presently a Ticket Agent at South Station in Boston, Massachusetts. He believes his “resume building and connections helped me become employed.”
ELDON DANIELS enrolled at the Westover Job Corps Center, Chicopee, Massachusetts in 2009, majoring in the Certified Nursing Assistant Program. After graduating from the CNA program in 2010, Eldon transferred to the TCU/IAM Advanced Training Program at the Shriver Job Corps Center in Devens, Massachusetts. After completion of the program, he was hired by Amtrak in 2011 as a Baggageman in Newark, New Jersey. Subsequently, he transferred to Pennsylvania Station in New York City, where he is qualified as a Baggageman, Information Clerk, Ticket Agent, and Usher; he is currently a Red Cap. Eldon felt that the math, ten key, cover letters and mock interviews helped him become employed with Amtrak.
LONDON WHITE began her journey in 2009 when she entered the Pharmacy Technician Program at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center in Greenville, Kentucky. Graduating from the program in 2010, she then relocated to Devens, Massachusetts and enrolled at the Shriver Job Corps Center, TCU/IAM Advanced Training Program. In 2010, after completing the program, London applied and was hired by Delta Airlines as a Ticket Agent at Logan Airport in East Boston, Massachusetts. In 2016, Ms. White relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada and was employed as a Passenger Service Agent. She has since transferred and is presently working for Delta at the St. Paul/ Minneapolis Airport as an Airport Customer Service Supervisor. London maintains, ”I love working for an airline.”
